impermanence

I feel it coming on
like a veil in the night
after all the reminiscing
and redaction
identifying the flaws
a reencountering
it was a trojan horse third wheeling
these flashes of the ire
an insipid betrayal
burning deep into the night
a loss of white robes

Now recognize it’s impermanence

and let it fade into the wind
