Pariah

I seemed destined
To be on the brink of the diving board
Toe knuckle tension
In a state of suspension
Disbelief
the air that we breath
A high fever release
Bequeath to me
The distillation of childhood dreams
A remembered elixir
Can be a perpetual torture
We journeyed
Uncovering
Far and wide
While dovetailing
This piecemeal life
A graveyard of
fictitious matrimonies
A dried out sperm whale among sea men
My progeny’s umbilical cords
Harvested and broken
Here lies
My existing life
But if we are but dust
We will soon enough bite it
Decompose
We will be
An unwanted pariah
Among the nations
But the lowliest beggar
Will inherit the nations
